A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Dr. Wier graduated cum laude and ranked eighth in his class of 120. After beginning his career in private practice, he founded his own dental practice in St. Paris, Ohio, in 1995, where he cared for patients for 31 years.
Orthodontics has been a significant focus throughout Dr. Wier’s career. In addition to providing orthodontic care in his general practice, he has practiced full-time in an orthodontic specialty office and has extensive experience with comprehensive orthodontics and clear aligner therapy.
Dr. Wier is also an international dental educator with Progressive Orthodontics. He has provided more than 1,500 hours of dental education and has taught more than 5,000 dentists throughout the United States and internationally. He previously led new-instructor training and certification and has authored and co-authored multi-day courses in clear aligner therapy and orthodontic mechanics.
Dr. Wier combines decades of clinical experience with a practical, patient-centered approach to dentistry. His clinical interests include restorative dentistry, crowns and bridges, endodontic treatment, orthodontics, and clear aligner therapy.
Outside the office, Dr. Wier enjoys spending time with his two adult children and his three-year-old grandson. He also enjoys being outdoors, working in the yard, skiing, and playing in a concert band.
